Preview: Salesian College Preparatory Pride vs. Swett Warriors

The third road matchup was the charm for Salesian College Preparatory, as they earned their first road win of the season. Everything went their way against Kennedy on Friday as Salesian College Preparatory made off with a 17-1 win.
Joe Tarin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tarin was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.
In other batting news, Amani Johnson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Salvador Guerra was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Swett has not done well against Bethel recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Salesian College Preparatory has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Swett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.7 per game. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
