Volleyball Recap: Rosemount Comes Up Short

Rosemount entered their match against Lakeville North on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Irish fell 3-1 to the Panthers. If the Irish were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rosemount started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 25-21, 25-9.

Sophie Williams paced Rosemount's offense, picking up 15 kills. Williams got some help from Payten Diekmann and her 31 assists. Stella Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-9. As for Lakeville North, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Rosemount has already played their next contest (against Shakopee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lakeville North also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Lakeville South.
