Basketball Recap: Southlake Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Carolina Day

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only SouthLake Christian Academy walked away with it. They took down the Carolina Day Wildcats 75-58 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Dillon Mason, who posted 31 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of SouthLake Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Stone Myers, who had 18 points.

Carolina Day's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Alexander, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Alexander a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeke Garris, who earned 18 points and six boards.

SouthLake Christian Academy's record now sits at 13-15. As for Carolina Day, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

SouthLake Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 70-42 defeat against High Point Christian Academy on the 13th. Carolina Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
