Basketball Recap: Killian Hill Christian Comes Up Short

Killian Hill Christian lost against Lanier Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Killian Hill Christian Cougars were dealt a 67-21 loss at the hands of the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Lightning are ranked 164th).

Killian Hill Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ronald Skeete, who posted eight points.

Lanier Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Nolan Roberts, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 20 points and four steals. What's more, Roberts also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Mekhi Barber was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Killian Hill Christian's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Lanier Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

Killian Hill Christian has already played their next contest, a 100-37 defeat against Horizon Christian Academy on the 31st. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 79-47 win against Trinity Prep on the 30th.
