Baseball Recap: Castro Valley Starts Season with Victory at Home

Castro Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Monte Vista Mustangs 5-4. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Paul Funderburk looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
