Basketball Game Preview: West Carroll War Eagles vs. Middleton Tigers

West Carroll hasn't had much luck against Middleton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The West Carroll War Eagles will take on the Middleton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

West Carroll is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Clarksburg. One positive for the War Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Middleton had to suffer through a 63-36 loss at the hands of Humboldt. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Vikings are ranked 87th).

West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Middleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

West Carroll took a serious blow against Middleton in their previous matchup on January 9th, falling 66-24. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point West Carroll was down 43-13.
