Volleyball Recap: Crawfordsville Takes a Loss

Crawfordsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots, falling 3-0. The Athenians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

While Crawfordsville ultimately came up short, they really made Terre Haute North Vigo work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-14.

Crawfordsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crawfordsville will challenge Irvington Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they will welcome Wabash Valley HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Patriots have won four straight at home dating back to last season, while the Warriors won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
