Basketball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

If Wayne was feeling good fresh off their 80-52 takedown of Mynderse Academy on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 55-41 bruising from the Geneva Panthers on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Geneva, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wayne and North Allegheny will compete for holiday cheer at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva will take on Palmyra-Macedon in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
