Basketball Recap: Sharyland Comes Up Short

Sharyland came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the McAllen Memorial Mustangs, falling 77-41. The Rattlers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 65-55.

Sharyland has also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season. As for McAllen Memorial, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Sharyland and McAllen Memorial could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Sharyland will challenge McAllen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 601 places (977 vs. 376). Meanwhile, McAllen Memorial (ranked 706th) will meet Rowe (ranked 342nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
