Softball Recap: Eastern York Takes a Loss

Eastern York fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against New Oxford on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Colonials by a score of 7-6. The Golden Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Colonials from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Eastern York has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for New Oxford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Eastern York will square off against J.P. McCaskey at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Oxford, they will challenge Spring Grove at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Colonials' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
