Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Yellowjackets vs. Johnston Dragons

The Jefferson Yellowjackets will take on the Johnston Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jefferson is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Le Mars on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Jefferson was dealt a 78-42 loss at the hands of Le Mars. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnston). They blew past Valley 78-51 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons, who have now won three contests in a row.

Jefferson's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Johnston, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
