Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Blazers vs. Fenwick Friars

The Trinity Blazers will face off against the Fenwick Friars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Trinity is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Charles East just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 52-41 loss to the Fighting Saints.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fenwick, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 59-29 victory over Willowbrook. Given the Friars' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Warriors are ranked 479th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fenwick now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Trinity beat Fenwick 43-30 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Trinity have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fenwick turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
