Preview: Cane Bay Cobras vs. Stratford Knights
After four games on the road, Cane Bay is heading back home. They will take on the Stratford Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Cane Bay suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Wando, falling 55-27.
Despite the defeat, Cane Bay had strong showings from Ella Hill, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, and Zahnyra Young, who scored four points along with ten rebounds. Hill is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Stratford's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-33 defeat at the hands of Goose Creek. Stratford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.
Cane Bay has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Stratford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
