Basketball Recap: Sharpsville Takes a Loss

Sharpsville and Rocky Grove squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sharpsville had to settle for second. They lost 60-39 to the Rocky Grove Orioles. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Orioles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Noah Baughman was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-14 to rack up 24 points and three steals for Rocky Grove. The matchup was Baughman's ninth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Focht, who posted ten points and four steals.

Sharpsville now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Rocky Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Sharpsville nor Rocky Grove have any future games scheduled.
