Baseball Game Preview: Lake Center Christian Tiger vs. Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints

The Lake Center Christian Tiger will take on the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lake Center Christian has four straight wins, Tuscarawas Central Catholic has 34 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lake Center Christian's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Marlington. Considering the Tiger have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Tuscarawas Central Catholic came up short against Newcomerstown on Wednesday, falling 11-3.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Conrad Bollon, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Lake Center Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
