Grassfield and Great Bridge are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Grassfield will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Lakeland on Friday. The Grizzlies' defense stepped up to hand the Cavaliers an 8-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for Grassfield in their matchups with Lakeland: they've now won seven in a row.

Grassfield's offense was hitting Lakeland from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Trey Brandon led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Great Bridge waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Hornets 7-4. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Great Bridge considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Great Bridge's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those seven matchups. As for Grassfield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-3.

Grassfield might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Great Bridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
