Football Recap: Weatherford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weatherford extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were beaten by the Crowley Eagles 40-8. The Kangaroos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Cutter Kennedy threw for 98 yards and one touchdown. Jakob Hemphill was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Brennan Boehl rushed for 38 yards.

As for Crowley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Weatherford: they've now won four in a row.

Crowley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kendrick Kennedy Jr out in front who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. A healthy portion of Kennedy Jr's aerial production (108 yards to be exact) went to Antayvious Ellis, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Weatherford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 52-49 loss against Mansfield Legacy on the 3rd. As for Crowley, they have also already played their next contest, a 28-27 defeat against Boswell on the 3rd.
