Chicago Academy piles up the points against Marine Leadership Academy

Recap: Chicago Academy Cougars vs. Marine Leadership Academy Bulldogs
Make it seven blowout wins for the Chicago Academy Cougars this season. They blew past Marine Leadership Academy 44-5 at home. The victory was nothing new for Chicago Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Chicago Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Destiny Rodriguez led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizbeth Sanchez, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
Chicago Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Marine Leadership Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Chicago Academy will head out on the road to take on Chicago Mathematics & Science at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marine Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
