Softball Recap: Becton Wildcats vs. Hudson Catholic Hawks
While Becton put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Hudson Catholic. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Hawks. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Francesca Buda was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mackenzie Muniz was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Taylor Balis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
