Softball Recap: Gladwin Comes Up Short

After a string of three wins, Gladwin's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Bullock Creek Lancers, falling 16-4. The Flying G's were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Addison Tyslicky was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelica Corlew, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Gladwin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Bullock Creek, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Looking ahead, Gladwin will head out on the road to face off against Carman-Ainsworth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bullock Creek, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Swan Valley at 4:00 p.m. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
