Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes Down Sioux City North in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Lincoln rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 73-35 victory over the Sioux City North Stars. The Lynx haven't had any issues with the Stars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Addie Naughton, who went 11-for-20 to rack up 20 points along with five assists and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of Lincoln's success: when she posts at least 20 points the team is undefeated (and 7-11 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Hutson Rau, who went 6-for-8 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Naughton wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Lincoln was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Sioux City North, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Coming up, Lincoln is taking a road trip to take on Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Johnston will roll in looking for their 22nd straight win, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight. Sioux City North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
