Softball Recap: Clark Wins Going Away Against Desert Pines

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy, Clark was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Desert Pines Jaguars with a sharp 19-4 victory. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Alizon Abad Macedo, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Noel Gregorich was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Clark's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for Desert Pines, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clark will host Mojave at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Clark's pitchers better be ready for this one: Mojave has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Desert Pines, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Rancho at 3:30 p.m.
