Hernando won the last time they faced Horn Lake and things went their way on Friday too. Hernando was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Horn Lake. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Jackson Nations looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Donavan Dickson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Luke Romine also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Hernando kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.6.

Hernando now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Horn Lake, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-7.

Coming up, Hernando will head out to challenge South Gibson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Gibson's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Hernando's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Horn Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Olive Branch at 2:00 p.m.
