Ragsdale takes loss despite strong efforts from Patrick Carter and KJ Burke

Recap: Ragsdale Tigers vs. Western Guilford Hornets

The Ragsdale Tigers pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Western Guilford by a score of 58-55. Ragsdale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Western Guilford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

KJ Burke and Patrick Carter certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Burke scored 22 points along with eight rebounds, while Carter scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season.

Ragsdale are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15. As for Western Guilford, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15.

Ragsdale will head out on the road to face off against Northern Guilford at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Northern Guilford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ragsdale in North Carolina (Northern Guilford is ranked 94th, while Ragsdale is ranked 466th). As for Western Guilford, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northwest Guilford at 7:45 p.m.
