Catholic got themselves on the board against Liberty Magnet on Tuesday, but Liberty Magnet never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kenneth Russell looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Noah Lewis, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Andrew Clapinski, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Magnet only posted an OBP of .118.

Catholic's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty Magnet, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Catholic 2.2, Central 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Liberty Magnet will challenge rival Zachary at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
