Baseball Recap: Beauregard Takes a Loss

Beauregard fell victim to Wetumpka and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wetumpka Indians by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Beauregard dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Wetumpka, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Beauregard will look to defend their home field on Monday against Beulah at 4:30 p.m. As for Wetumpka, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Holtville on the 1st.
