Baseball Game Preview: Shelton Highclimbers vs. Centralia Tigers

For the second straight game, Shelton will face off against Centralia. The Highclimbers will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Shelton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Shelton beats Centralia with five runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Highclimbers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Tigers on Tuesday. The Highclimbers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Carl Turnbow, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Boston Madison also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Shelton's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Centralia, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
