Basketball Game Preview: Georgetown G-Men vs. Blanchester Wildcats

The Georgetown G-Men will head out to challenge the Blanchester Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Georgetown has four straight wins, Blanchester has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Monday, Georgetown earned a 47-35 victory over Clinton-Massie.

Meanwhile, Blanchester ended up a good deal behind Cedarville on Monday and lost 52-33. The Wildcats were down 44-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Georgetown is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Blanchester, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Georgetown won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by Blanchester 41-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Georgetown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
