Basketball Recap: Irondale Takes a Loss

Irondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stillwater Ponies. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Ponies are ranked 69th).

Despite the loss, Irondale still got an impressive performance from Jake Dedominces, who went 8-for-17 on his way to 22 points. Cameron Cramble was another key player, putting up eight points.

Irondale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Stillwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irondale will square off against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stillwater, they will face off against Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
