Baseball Recap: Papillion-LaVista Monarchs vs. Bellevue East Chieftains
Papillion-LaVista barely beat Bellevue East the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Monarchs never let the Chieftains get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Monarchs have posted against the Chieftains since March 18, 2021.

Landyn Albrecht made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over seven innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four matches. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Isaac Pamaran was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Evan Eddie, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Papillion-LaVista has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games.
