Volleyball Recap: DMLK Panthers vs. Manual Thunderbolts

If DMLK was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lotus School For Excellence two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Manual Thunderbolts on Tuesday.

While DMLK had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18.

Esquire Coleman paced DMLK's offense, picking up five kills. Coleman got some help from Romeo Johnny and his ten assists. Finally, Coleman was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high eight blocks.

Danny Flores was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 17 digs.

DMLK's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Manual, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

DMLK has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Hinkley on the 3rd. Manual has also already played their next contest (against Kennedy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
