Softball Game Preview: Frassati Catholic Falcons vs. Cypress Christian Warriors

For the second straight game, Frassati Catholic will face off against Cypress Christian. The Falcons will face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Frassati Catholic is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Frassati Catholic lost 15-5 to Cypress Christian on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.

For Cypress Christian's part, Audrey Petrowski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Petrowski has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Megan Smith was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was KK Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Cypress Christian's record now sits at 4-7. As for Frassati Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
