St. Francis put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 15-6 win over the Johnson Warriors. While the Troubadours didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

St. Francis found their leader in sophomore Natalia Zitelli, who rushed for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.

St. Francis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Monet Zauner and Abbey Pavelchik. With that strong performance, Zauner is now averaging an impressive 1.1 interceptions per game.

When it comes to explaining why Johnson lost, don't look at Nala Wysinger. Despite the final result, she rushed for 42 yards and one TD, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. Wysinger didn't just play on offense: she also picked up two sacks and made three total tackles.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Johnson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis will take on Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Troubadours 3.4, the Eagles 12.3) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Johnson, they will face off against Elk Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
