Softball Recap: Huron Takes a Loss

Huron blew Flat Rock out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Flat Rock got their revenge. The Chiefs fell just short of the Rams by a score of 4-2. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Huron and nudges their season record down to 3-8. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Flat Rock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Coming up, Huron will face off against Trenton at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Flat Rock, they will take on Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Railsplitters have averaged an impressive 15 runs per game this season.
