Baseball Recap: Meadow Heights Gets the Win

While Meadow Heights's victory against Saxony Lutheran wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Meadow Heights won by a run and slipped past Saxony Lutheran 7-6. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders on Wednesday, too.

Meadow Heights saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Hays, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave Hays a new career-high. Kamden Hays was another, going 2-for-3 with one double.

Meadow Heights now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Saxony Lutheran, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadow Heights will venture away from home to take on Chaffee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Saxony Lutheran, they will head out to challenge Crystal City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
