It was a good run, but Northern unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 14-6 to the Chopticon Braves. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Patriots, who until this match were averaging 4.08 runs allowed.

Northern got a good showing from Jack Bisang, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bisang has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dylan Rice was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Miles Halbert was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Northern's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Chopticon, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Northern will welcome Pikesville at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Chopticon, they will take on Great Mills on Monday.
