After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holdingford, Royalton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Paynesville Bulldogs. The five-run effort marked the Royals' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Royalton's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Paynesville, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Royalton by a score of 7-0 later that day.
