Football Recap: University Comes Up Short + How To Watch

University had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it eight. They were dealt a 58-0 defeat at the hands of the Lake Brantley Patriots. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cougars haven't been shut out since back in August.

Cesar Ramirez threw for 146 yards on 14 of 25 attempts. Aiden Thompson was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.

As for Lake Brantley, their win bumped their record up to 6-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 35 points or more this season.

Lake Brantley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Stecher, who threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. The Patriots' leading receiver Davon Washington was Stecher's top target yet again, picking up 108 receiving yards and one score.

University didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-36 victory against Colonial on the 24th. As for Lake Brantley, they have also already played their next game, a 51-17 loss against Lake Mary on the 24th.
