Basketball Recap: Teays Valley Takes a Loss

Teays Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 62-52 to the Marysville Monarchs. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Monarchs are ranked 197th).

Teays Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Marysville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Teays Valley will square off against Pickerington Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Marysville, they will challenge Olentangy Berlin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
