Basketball Recap: Nick Grazul Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Blue Ridge

Athens's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Blue Ridge Raiders 65-45. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 50 points per game.

Athens' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nick Grazul led the charge by going 7 for 11 en route to 16 points and four steals. That's the most points Grazul has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucas Shultz, who put up 12 points and five steals.

Athens was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Athens' win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
