Recap: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars vs. Mercy Magic        
        
		
            
 The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars were the  45-26 winner over the Mercy Magic when they last played one another  back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Our Lady of Mount Carmel took a  57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mercy on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Our Lady of Mount Carmel has lost by exactly eight  points.
 When it comes to explaining why Our Lady of Mount Carmel lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Amya Goodsell. Despite the final result, she  scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was  Jaden Washington, who  scored nine points.
 Our Lady of Mount Carmel's loss was  their third straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 4-5. As for Mercy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
 Our Lady of Mount Carmel will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Hopefully St. Mary's focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Mercy will be home for the holidays to greet  Archbishop Spalding at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Archbishop Spalding is coming into the  match hot, having won their last three games.
