Basketball Game Preview: Dakota Valley Panthers vs. West Central Trojans

The Dakota Valley Panthers will face off against the West Central Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Dakota Valley sitting on four straight victories and West Central on 11.

Dakota Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Vermillion by a score of 62-54.

Dakota Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameryn Sommervold, who went 6-for-9 on her way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Worden, who shot 56% from the field en route to 14 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, West Central beat Tri-Valley 50-44 on Thursday.

West Central pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Dakota Valley, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.
