Soccer Recap: Calexico Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, Calexico was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Brawley Wildcats get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given Calexico's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Brawley are ranked 547th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Calexico's win bumped their record up to 9-7-4. As for Brawley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-3 record this season.
