Baseball Recap: Center Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Center put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Northeast Vikings a 23-0 shutout. For the Yellowjackets, this counts as revenge for the 10-9 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Luke Leslie made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Leslie was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Leslie is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Milton Brown was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Lucas Westring, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Center's record now sits at 3-0. As for Northeast, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Center will challenge Van Horn at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast, they will be playing at home against East at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
