Basketball Game Preview: James Monroe Yellow Jackets vs. Eastern View Cyclones

The James Monroe Yellow Jackets and the Eastern View Cyclones will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. James Monroe will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Tuesday, James Monroe came up short against Orange County and fell 59-50.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Eastern View beat Charlottesville 57-51 on Wednesday. Given the Cyclones' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Black Knights are ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

James Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Eastern View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

James Monroe beat Eastern View 72-63 when the teams last played back in February. Will James Monroe repeat their success, or does Eastern View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
