After a string of three wins, Mira Monte's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and the Foothill Trojans finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Lions have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Jose Oviedo, who's now up to 12 this season.

Mira Monte's draw makes their record 12-3-2 this season. Meanwhile, Foothill's record is now 9-6-3.

Mira Monte will venture away from home to take on Golden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Golden Valley is on a three-game streak of home wins, Mira Monte a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch. As for Foothill, they will host West at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Foothill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
