Basketball Recap: Glasgow Comes Up Short

Glasgow lost against Slater back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Glasgow Yellowjackets fell just short of the Slater Wildcats by a score of 56-53. While the Yellowjackets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 18-12 in the first quarter.

Slater was led to victory by Nixon Sanders and Brandon Terrill. Sanders posted 16 points, while Terrill put up 14 points. That's the most points Sanders has posted since back in November of 2024.

Glasgow's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Slater, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glasgow will face off against New Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Slater, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
