Baseball Recap: Texas City Comes Up Short

Texas City was the 2-0 winner over La Porte when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Texas City Stingarees took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Porte Bulldogs on Friday. The Stingarees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Texas City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for La Porte, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Texas City will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on March 28th. As for La Porte, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ball at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
