Basketball Recap: Dugway Comes Up Short

Dugway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds. The Mustangs were up 21 in the second, but they couldn't quite seal the deal.

Dugway's loss came despite strong showings from Gary Williams Jr and Vincent Pace. Williams Jr posted 24 points, while Pace scored 15 points. That was a full 53.3% of the Mustangs' points, marking the third time in a row Williams Jr has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Dugway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Dugway will be taking part in a tournament against Rangely at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they will venture away from home to face off against Maeser Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
