Basketball Recap: Wootton Find Success

Wootton won the last time they faced Quince Orchard, and Chase Mitchell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Wootton Patriots came out on top against the Quince Orchard Cougars by a score of 62-55 on Friday thanks in part to Mitchell, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 42 points and three steals. Those 42 points gave him a new career-high.

Wootton's record is now 9-7. As for Quince Orchard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Wootton will take on Sherwood at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Sherwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Quince Orchard, they will face off against Gaithersburg on Tuesday. Quince Orchard is facing Gaithersburg at the right time seeing as Gaithersburg is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
